Brentwood

For this estate, we extended living space on top of a new equipment room built under the perimeter overflow raised spa with Hydrofloor, a revolutionary mechanism to raise and lower the spa floor so it becomes a pool safe water feature with ½” of water depth when not in use. The spa and pool are completely tiled in hand made tile to match the existing home loggia patio. The style stayed true to the Spanish Colonial Revival architecture but incorporated some contemporary aspects which the clients loved. To create the feeling of seclusion, the spa is sunken down 12” from the pool deck level, nestling in the tall pines of the site.  We recaptured lost entertaining space and linked areas to make the area more usable for kids and parties. On the side yard is a “catio”, an enclosed outdoor space with custom tile water feature visible from the main hall and music room.
