Trousdale Estates

This remodeled home was built with wings at an obtuse angle to each other. This geometry was extended out into the landscape and is reflected in the shape of the spa, where the two angles came together. This home is built for entertaining, where the telescoping doors open onto open, flexible spaces. Clean, simple materials and site geometry are true to the Mid-Century Modern aesthetic and do not distract from the view. The pool has floating pads to separate the perimeter overflow spa from the pool and create a way for the pool to be interactive for non-swimmers. An outdoor kitchen has private spaces behind wood screens and an elevated deck behind the pool creates dimension and the feeling of space.
